Commercial Vendor Manager (Worldwide)

Purpose of the role

The Commercial Vendor Manager is responsible for a number of third party payment products and services and their corresponding suppliers. In addition, he/she continuously measures and optimizes the quality and minimize the costs of the products and services delivered by third party suppliers. He/she is involved in the development of the portfolio of available third party payment products and services, including alignment of new third party suppliers with marketing, sales and business strategy. He/she is responsible for the successful commercial liaison between third party suppliers and the Global Collect departments. The commercial vendor manager reports to the VP Vendor Management.

Deliverables / Tasks

  • Explore and develop new supplier relations
  • Manage relationships with suppliers
  • Arrange commercial agreements with suppliers
  • Maintain commercial contact and contract information of suppliers
  • Participate in projects to take new payment channels/methods/tools live for new suppliers
  • Arrange buy rate reviews and updates
  • Arrange quarterly supplier status updates
  • Act as primary commercial point of contact (internal & external) for suppliers
  • Arrange and document foreign remittance channels (including related tax issues)
  • Assist in escalations issued by suppliers and/or Global Collect departments
  • Keep knowledge up to date by attending conferences and supplier events

Department and location

Vendor Management is responsible for managing all aspects of the third party payment products and services that contribute directly to the Global Collect products and services portfolio. These third parties (called vendors or suppliers) mainly consist of next generation payment providers such as banks, (credit) card acquirers, payment gateways and fraud screening companies.

GlobalCollect is recruiting 3 Commercial Vendor Managers for the locations Singapore, San Francisco and Buenos Aires.

Experience

  • Solid background in the financial / payment industry
  • Experience with working in project groups in the financial/IT sector

Other significant role requirements

  • Willing to travel extensively to destinations throughout the world (50%)
  • Minimal Bachelor working and thinking level
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of the IT industry

Technical Knowledge

  • Experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experienced user of MS Windows
