Parttime Financial Accountant

Purpose of the role

The financial accountant will support the senior management accountant. Due to changed interdepartmental working procedures, Finance & Reporting needs to be occupied until approximately 21.00. The financial accountant will work in shifts in the afternoon and early evening to meet this requirement. 

Deliverables / Tasks

  • Posting of deposits and related risk actions will be the main responsibility
  • Handling accounts receivable for settlements, payments and provisions
  • Answering queries of merchants in cooperation with the merchant support department with respect to e.g. deposits and accounts receivable
  • Settlement of inter-companies between GlobalCollect and GlobalCollect Services
  • Any other ad hoc tasks or work assigned within the department.

Department Finance & Reporting

Finance & Reporting is responsible for maintaining all group companies’ ledgers and consolidating the group's results in accordance to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). It reports the results to the Board of Directors and provides the Shareholders with complementary reports and information. The team produces financial statements on monthly basis and endeavours continuously to improve the quality of reporting.
The position of financial accountant has been newly created in response to organic growth. The financial accountant within GlobalCollect will have ample opportunity to learn from all areas of this international organization and will be exposed to international business processes and culture.

Experience

  • MBO qualification with min. 3 years of hands on financial accounting experience
  • HBO starter/student financial or economic study.

Other significant role requirements

  • Willing to work in shifts: one week 14.00-18.00 and other week 16.00-21.00
  • Willing to work part time (15-20 hours per week, 5 days per week availability
  • Start date on 15th March 2010
  • Good command of English language

Technical Knowledge

  • Experienced with MS Office
  • Preferable experience with CODA
