Purpose of the role

The objective of the Product Development team (PD) is to develop and manage the software product portfolio. PD adds value by creating marketable products to help our customers become more successful and by supporting GlobalCollect’s internal business processes.
Professionalism, ambition, speed, flexibility and open communication are characteristics of the department. The team is highly international and the working language is English.

The objective of the Systems Analyst is to take a business case from conceptual idea through elicitation and analysis to a software requirements specification. The Systems Analyst works closely with customers (mostly internal but also external) to create new solutions to business challenges.

Deliverables / Tasks

  • To deliver documented solutions that meet the requirements of business customers.
  • To work closely with customers and the PD team to ensure that expectations are met or exceeded.
  • To hand over to Technical Designers, Developers and Project / Program Managers.

Critical Competencies

  • Analytical with good inter-personal skills. Tenacious. Self-starting.
  • Customer focused. Driven to improve GlobalCollect’s business by the application of information technology.
  • Fascinated by how business works and how IT can support GlobalCollect’s internal and external customers.
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Dutch is strongly preferred; other languages may also be an asset.

Experience

  • Information technology at HBO/bachelor (or equivalent) level
  • The right attitude and aptitude is more important than years of experience, but less than three years in a similar role is probably too little.
  • You’ve probably moved into Systems Analysis from development and understand the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in or a strong affinity with the Payments Services Industry or Financial Services industry is advantageous.

Technical Knowledge

  • UML (domain model, activity- and state diagram, sequence diagrams, use cases)
  • Familiarity with an OOAD method and the general techniques (use case modeling, domain modeling etc)
  • Requirements Modeling
  • Preferably: Service Orientation,   SoaML,  BPMN (create and read),  SBVR/ORM(/NIAM)
