Java Software Developer

Purpose of the role

The objective of the Product Development team (PD) is to develop and manage the software product portfolio. PD adds value by creating marketable products to help our customers become more successful and by supporting GlobalCollect’s internal business processes.
Professionalism, ambition, speed, flexibility and open communication are characteristics of the department. The team is highly international and the working language is English.

The main objective of the Java Software Developer is to develop excellent solutions in close cooperation with users and co-workers. Development can include: the selection of technology, architecture, technical design, documentation, software development, testing and deployment.

Deliverables / Tasks

• To deliver fully unit tested Java software.
• To take a functional design through technical and code design to delivered solution.

• Dutch is optional but preferred; other languages may also be an asset.

Experience

• Information technology at HBO/bachelor (or equivalent) level
• At least three years experience in Java software development

Technical Knowledge

• Good understanding and experience of: J2EE, TopLink, SEAM, JSF, SQL.
• Advantageous would be: Agile development experience, Oracle, Unix, AJAX, PLSQL
• A knowledge of C is also advantageous.
