GlobalCollect Appoints Floris de Kort as Chief Commercial Officer
Floris de Kort will join the Management Board of GlobalCollect, the world's premier full-service international payment service provider of local e-payments, with immediate effect
Amsterdam, The Netherlands -- In his role as Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. de Kort will be responsible for Global Sales and Business Development. Accordingly, he has joined the Management Board comprising of Jan Manten (Chief Executive Officer), Ron Vollebregt (Chief Operating Officer) and Paul van Mierlo (Chief Financial Officer) effective immediately.
Jan Manten, CEO of GlobalCollect said: "The Management Board is very excited about this appointment and has great confidence that Floris will continue to make significant contributions towards realizing GlobalCollect's objectives and developing its commercial strategy across the globe further. Given that he has been with the company for almost six years, he has in-depth knowledge of GlobalCollect's processes and systems. This, coupled with a proven track record, nine years of Sales experience and six years of industry experience make Floris the ideal candidate for this strategic position."
Mr. de Kort joined the Management Team of GlobalCollect in 2003 as Vice President Global Business Development, where he consulted key clients like Microsoft, Sony, Blizzard Entertainment and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on how to increase online sales by offering the right mix of local currencies and payment methods. Previously, he worked as International Business Development Manager at TNT, the global mail and express delivery service provider.
