BNP Paribas, in partnership with the ePayments business unit of Ingenico Group, is the first French bank to enable customers to develop their online sales in Europe, by letting them accept new payment methods in different currencies.
BNP Paribas is an international bank and a key e-commerce player in France, with a market share of close to 30% of all e-commerce transactions. The partnership between the bank and Ingenico Group allows the bank’s customers to expand their online sales in Europe, through the acceptance of both international and local payment methods. The payment solutions offered by Ingenico ePayments, combined with the acquiring services by BNP Paribas, allow merchants in 14 European countries to accept online payments in 8 different local currencies. The acquiring service of the bank is based on domestic platforms in France, Italy, and Germany, and a centralized platform covering 14 additional countries.

This partnership enriches the existing services of BNP Paribas in e-commerce, while allowing customers to benefit from Ingenico ePayments’ fraud detection products, in order to efficiently identify and prevent fraud attempts.
