Department of Financial Administration (FA) is responsible for maintaining all group companies’ ledgers and consolidating the group's results in accordance to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). It reports the results to the Board of Directors.

For our Financial Administration we are looking for someone to enhance our dedicated team of accountants. We offer a senior position for a qualified financial accountant who has the ambition to pursue a career growth in line with the Company’s commercial growth progression. The FA team produces financial statements on monthly basis, and endeavours continuously to improve the quality of reporting.

The position of Group Chief Accountant has been newly created in response to organic growth. Reporting to VP Financial Administration, the position holder will benefit from clear line of outlook from top level management. The position also offers ample opportunity to learn all areas of this international organization, exposure to international business processes and culture; and a high level of responsibility with a wide breadth of tasks to challenge the successful candidate.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Supervision, control and quality check over group company ledgers ensuring full compliance of IFRS standards and group accounting procedures.
  • Carrying out periodical group consolidation exercises and related full financial reports.
  • Providing advice and guidance about statutory compliance to accountants who maintain company ledgers
  • Compilation of financial information on accounting results and issues for the Board of Directors. External regularity reporting and tax compliance issues are also undertaken.
  • Development of new Accounting Manual and supplementary procedures in accordance to IFRS standards.
  • Planning and coordination of the year-end closure process and group statutory audit exercise including production of statutory annual reports.

Group Chief Accountant reports to the Vice President Financial Administration and undertakes any other ad hoc tasks and projects assigned within the framework of financial administration.

Professional requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (BS/BA with CPA or CPA equivalent or Dutch RA)   with audit experience from big four.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is a must, Sox or US GAAP is a plus.
  • Track record of executing hands-on audit planning, coordination and writing Annual Reports.
  • Experience within Finance & Accounting in financial service industry.
  • Consolidation experience - Experience with OCRA (Consolidation) Software is desired but not essential.
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel and Word and comfortable learning new software packages.
  • Must be accurate and timely on follow-ups. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must possess effective time management skills and have strong attention to detail.
  • Must work independently with ability to liaise with Team around.
  • Demonstrates a professional and adaptable demeanor while interacting with staff, affiliates and outside professionals.Excellent command in English; writing business English and oral.
